Nehemiah 6:9-14
As Nehemiah
continued work on the wall, Tobiah and Sanballat continued their efforts
against it. Opposition increased as
false prophets arose to distract Nehemiah from the work. Nehemiah prayed that God would remember (take
note of) the things done against him (vs.14). The wall was completed and I believe it was
evident whose side God was on, for “their enemies were humiliated” (NLT, vs.
11).
Prayer principle: Bring the attacks of the ungodly before
the throne of God.
About God: God deeply cares for His own – He is
compassionate. He will move in His time – He is sovereign. Can we make the compound – compassionate sovereignty
driven by His holiness?
About Me: I should bring my pain to God and cease to
commiserate. “He knows; He loves; He cares. Nothing this truth can dim. God
gives His very best to those who leave the choice to Him” (Unknown).
